36 Days of Type 2023
Alrighty, so here is my second attempt at doing the 36 Days of Type challenge. This time around I decided to do it solely in physical media & with a self-imposed 15 minute time limit to draw a capital letter and a lowercase letter. The time limit was so I could try and catch up to the current letter at the time, which was "M" when i decided to start the challenge. Ever so often i would switch between illustrating the actual letterform & using an object that somewhat resembles the letter of that particular day. So without further ado, I present the UNBIDDENXIII style "36 Days of Type Challenge".
As you can probably tell by my small annotations, I truly stuck to the time-limit & didn't try to cheat my own set of rules. So if I ran outta time, then that was that ad i continued on to the next letter.
I was trying to keep a consistent blend of the colors in a n attempt to have a spectrograph-like effect. Sometimes the haste of my time-limit made me use the wrong color on the wrong letter haha.
At this point in the challenge, I felt like 15 minutes was too long. So i decided to shorten to 13 minutes & subsequently 10 minutes. Not sure if it was for the better but, it definitely upped the difficulty level of it all!
I decided not to apply a time limit to the numbers, I just wanted to make them sorta uniform. Maybe a small hint of what I plan to do for next year's challenge.
Well, that about sums up my 2023 edition of "36 Days of Type", I hope to do a more refined version of the latin alphabet next year ;3
